Dear Readers,

With great pleasure we would like to inform you, that in December 2008 our magazine Anestezjologia i Ratownictwo – Anaesthesiology and Rescue Medicine received the honourable patronage of European Board and Section of Anaesthesiology, European Union of Medical Specialists.

We would like to extend our personal thanks to all Members of our Editorial Board and to our Authors who were willing to share knowledge, experience and reflections, as well as all Readers of our Magazine - for the warm kindness making our work a deep meaning.

Through the action directed to improve the medical abilities, broadening knowledge and the harmonization among the old and new part of Europe and neighbour states, we are trying to receive gradual refinement and safeties of European anaesthesiology. The source of our satisfaction is an awareness that the publishing works, filling up gaps existing in our country in the anaesthesiological knowledge and placing in every issue examples of examination questions, enabled to achieve the leading place in the European Specialization Examination in Anaesthesiology who was held by Polish anaesthesiologists in October 2008.

Anestezjologia i Ratownictwo - Anaesthesiology and Rescue Medicine is a quarterly medical magazine, published since June 2007, it is registered in the Polish Medical Bibliography (GBL) and it is stored in the Polish database Index Copernicus - value 5.29.
